Edwards contract straightforward - WRU chief

Welsh Rugby Union chief executive Roger Lewis says Shaun Edwards's decision to continue as Wales' defence coach was "pretty straightforward" after the former Wasps boss signed a new four-year deal to remain part of Warren Gatland's staff.

Speaking to Nicky Campbell and Rachel Burden on Radio 5 live breakfast, Lewis says he understands Edwards is "a passionate Englishman", but that he could "offer him what he wanted" amid rumours Edwards could have become England's head coach.

Lewis also reveals that, while the WRU will be Edwards's main employer, he may still work part-time for a club in England's Premiership.
