Beaumont wants to be RFU chairman

Former England captain Bill Beaumont tells Radio 4's Today programme that he has "got something to offer" the Rugby Football Union and is putting his name forward to become its new chairman.

Beaumont, who won 34 caps between 1975 and 1982, tells Garry Richardson that these are "exciting times" for English rugby and backs interim coach Stuart Lancaster's decision to discard a host of veterans and name a new-look England squad for this season's Six Nations.
