Wasps have signed Namibia international second row Heinz Koll for the remainder of the season.

The 28-year-old, who played in last year's World Cup, joins compatriot Tinus Du Plessis at Adams Park.

Koll, who has been signed as injury cover, cannot play in the club's European games but will feature in Premiership and LV= Cup.

"The Premiership is one of the world's best leagues and I'm delighted to get the chance to join Wasps," he said.

Director of rugby Dai Young added: "Heinz will bring with him a great amount of physicality which I was impressed with during his time at the World Cup.

"It is public knowledge that we have been hit hard by injuries so his arrival will add to our currently limited options in the second row."
