Wasps have signed Russia international hooker Vladislav Korshunov and number eight Victor Gresev until the end of the season.

Korshunov, the 28-year-old Russia captain, comes into the squad in place of Rob Webber who is in the England elite player squad.

Gresev, 25, is a powerful ball carrier who is the current player of the year in his native country.

Both players will arrive at the London club this weekend.

Gresev was named man of the match for Russia's games against Australia and Italy in last year's Rugby World Cup and featured in the International Rugby Board's forwards of the tournament list.

Wasps director of rugby Dai Young said: "These are two players who impressed at the World Cup and they will add strength in depth to the squad for the rest of the season giving us options in key areas."
