Jersey hoping Nicky Griffiths can feature in season end
Jersey are hoping scrum-half Nicky Griffiths will be cleared to feature in the climax of the season despite being sent off in Saturday's win at Tynedale.
Former Newport Gwent Dragons player Griffiths came on as a second-half substitute but was red-carded for an alleged spear tackle.
An RFU disciplinary hearing will decide on the length of any ban.
The Islanders have three matches left and need nine more points to guarantee promotion to the Championship.
A club spokesman said: "The club is looking at the video evidence and the submission of the referee, and preparing for a RFU disciplinary hearing.
"We have not yet been told of the date of the hearing."
Griffiths joined Jersey at the start of the campaign but has spent much of the season out injured, making just a handful of appearances.
