Rugby Union: Redruth still smarting from derby 'hurt'
Redruth coach Ashley Morcom is still coming to terms with the "hurt" of defeat in their derby with Launceston.
They lost 31-10 at Polson Bridge, but Morcom believes his side can bounce back against Southend this weekend.
"It hurt a lot, I thought we were going to go up there and be able to turn them over," he told BBC Radio Cornwall.
"The good thing is that our negatives are not as big as our positives. It's just those stupid little bits and bobs that are letting us down."
Morcom was happy with the "grit and determination" shown against the Cornish All Blacks, but concerned that his team gave themselves too much to do after a slow start.
"The team and I realise were we went wrong and hopefully we can get at Southend and see what they're all about," he said.
"Southend are no mugs, they have won their first two games and they always seem to put up a good contest against us."
Redruth currently sit 14th in the National Two South table, with one point from two games.
