BBC Sport - Kirsty Wade: Quiet life of the retired Commonwealth champion

Quiet life of the retired champion

BBC Wales reporter Gareth Rhys Owen travelled to the Outer Hebrides to meet Wales' most successful Commonwealth Games track athlete.

Kirsty Wade won three Commonwealth gold medals during her career - including the middle distance double in 1986 - but today lives amid glorious scenery on the Isle of Lewis where she and her husband run a bed and breakfast.

In an item first shown on Sport Wales in January 2014, she recalls her running exploits and explains why she chose the quiet life.
