Worcester academy youngster Perry Humphreys will be given his debut at Rotherham as the Warriors make seven changes to the team which demolished Nottingham last weekend.

Assistant coach Carl Hogg said: "It's opportunities for our young players.

"Ideally you want your frontline players and, over the last few weeks, we haven't always had that available,

"But, especially on a Monday night with Worcester Cavaliers, our youngsters are going out and expressing themselves."

Winger Humphreys, who has impressed at full-back in three outings for Worcester Cavaliers this season, takes his place in a youthful backline that also includes Andy Symons, Max Stelling, Sam Smith and full-back Ben Howard, who deputises for England's Chris Pennell for a fourth successive week.

New signing Mat Gilbert is on the bench, while scrum-half Charlie Mulchrone and lock forward Dan Sanderson both face their former club, and Ignacio Mieres returns at stand-off.

Val Rapava-Ruskin plays at loose-head prop after coming off the bench and scoring against Nottingham and 22-year-old Academy star Mike Daniels makes his first start at tight-head.

"It's essential that we get a level of competition at A League standard," added Hogg. "If we lose someone to injury, then we've got somebody in form who is willing, able and ready to step up.

"Rotherham will be a big test. It's a bit of a hostile environment up there but we're making small progressive steps every week."
