Gloucester back Henry Purdy has agreed a new contract, just six months after signing from Leicester Tigers.

The 20-year-old, who has played at both centre and wing for Gloucester, has scored two tries in seven Premiership games this term having struggled at previous clubs Leicester and Wasps.

An England Under-20 international, he spent much of last season out on loan at Championship side Nottingham.

"I really feel like I am learning with every minute on the pitch," he said.

"To come off the back of winning the Junior World Championship in the summer with England to be playing in the Gloucester first-team has been amazing."

Gloucester have not disclosed the terms of Purdy's new deal.
