Leicester Tigers lock Graham Kitchener has agreed a new contract.

The 25-year-old has started 14 games this season and has been part of the England set-up, twice making head coach Stuart Lancaster's training squad.

Kitchener, who is in his fourth season at Welford Road, also captained an inexperienced England XV against the Barbarians in June last year.

"Kitch is a key part of a very good group of second-row forwards," director of rugby Richard Cockerill said.

"As well as developing his individual skills, he has taken on more responsibility within the squad and we want to see him continue to grow as part of a group of young leaders here.

"He has been a very consistent performer for us in big matches in the Premiership and in Europe, and we believe he can get better and better here."

The length of Kitchener's new contract has not been revealed, but the England Saxons and former Worcester Warriors forward has previously signed two two-year deals.
