Assistant coach Richard Blaze says Leicester will continue to play their young stars when they face Cardiff Blues in the LV= Cup on Saturday.

The Tigers have impressed in the competition so far and top Pool 3 with three wins from three games.

Victory over the Pool 2 leaders on Saturday will secure a home semi-final.

"The best thing is to get a good mix with experience and the younger players and we have done that," Blaze told BBC Radio Leicester.

"The way the younger guys have played has maybe made the senior guys think they need to up their game a bit."

Locks Greg Peterson and Jack Whetton, who are both on short-term contracts until the end of the season, will definitely be involved.

"Both Greg and Jack will get game time," Blaze said. "Like all of the guys, they are really excited to be playing."
