Championship side Nottingham Rugby have announced the signings of four players from relegated Plymouth Albion.

Back-rower Rob Langley, 23, and prop Tom Heard, 21, have both previously played for Premiership side Gloucester.

Centre Ben Woods, 24, was ever-present in Plymouth's first team this season, having signed from Irish side Old Belvedere in May 2013.

Former Old Albanians and Bedford Blues Academy fly-half Lawrence Rayner, 21, is also joining the Green and Whites.

"These players have stood out in the face of adversity and have shown they're very capable of performing at this level, head coach Martin Haag told the club's website.

"They bring with them a strong skill-set in their respective positions and will be battle hardened after the season they've just experienced.

"We hope they will use that experience to grow as players, and people, to become valuable members of our squad."

Nottingham finished fifth in the Championship this season, five points behind Rotherham Titans in the final play-off spot.
