Flanker Alex Cheesman and winger Kyle Moyle are among six Cornish Pirates players to sign deals for next season.

They have penned two-year contracts, while Chilean international Francisco Deformes and back-row Jake Parker have also agreed new deals.

All four have missed much of the Pirates' Championship campaign because of injuries.

Youngsters Brad Howe and Bertie Hopkin, who have been on loan at Redruth, will also stay at the Mennaye Field.

"They were new to the club this season and have been rewarded for their hard work and positive attitude on and off the field," Pirates head coach Ian Davies told the club website.

"Brad and Bertie's game time at Redruth has aided their development and we can clearly see how they have benefitted from playing in that environment."

Davies has cemented several other players in his squad for next season, signing scrum-half Alex Day from Northampton and extending the contracts of veteran forward Laurie McGlone and winger Luke Jones.
