What? Farrell in for Ford and burgess and Barritt to start? Gatland will be delighted, maybe his mind games are finally working. Please tell me Youngs isn't hooker again or it's looking really dire.....
@398 bigger Irish community close to Wembley - Kilburn etc. HQ sounded like a home match for the French on Saturday
The records show that Scotland have won 4 out 4 against Japan - but I have a memory that Japan beat Scotland some 15 or 20 years ago, possibly on a tour to or from Australia or NZ. Does anyone else have that recollection, or was it not recognised as a full Test.
Joseph not Johnson (but we could do with him too)
@392 There is a reasonably large ex-pat Irish community around the Twickenham area, so it would possibly have been a bit of an advantage. But they should manage to make it across town.@390 I'm still not that confident, but yeah England have the better bench. I'd say Wales will need to blitz the game if England are in touching distance in the last 220 minutes their bench should take it.
@390 at least your absentees are not largely self-inflicted. Hartley and Armitage would have shored up our scrum, line out and breakdown. Johnson looks likely to be out and we have missed Tuilagi all year. Injuries a part of the game but SL shouldn't be so holier than thou at a World Cup.
@385 excellent point. Would seem fair to play tomorrow's match at Murrayfield given Wales home advantage for some of their games. I still think Scotland will win, strong looking side at this years tournament.

3922011 Fra & NZ played their respective QFs at Eden Park (originally Christchurch...).Wal & Aus in WellingtonFra bt Wal, NZ bt Aus in the SFs at Eden Park.Aus played their in the Group (Ire). Wal didn't. Aus got Bronze.03,07,11,15, both SFs & Final each in one stadium of the respective hosts (Stad Oz /SDF/EP/TW)Teams with experience of Twickers may have advantage before SF.
Cathy you make a very good point. How much of the money from this and other World Cups go to the business corporation who have the rights sewn up?Maybe that's why we have to put up with that truly horrible World in Union "song" every four years. By the way the Japan v South Africa game was absolutely wonderful.
391How is it a advantage for Ire or NZ to play at Twickenham? They have the opportunity to play at Wembley! Given the choice, I doubt anybody would choose Twickenham over Wembley. Once in a lifetime opportunity for a rugby player. Although Wales did beat England at the old Wembley.
I do wonder if both NZ & Ire both playing group games at Wembley & Stratford was cheeky to not give them advantage of Twickers.Eng/Wal/Aus all have at least 2 group games.SA (If they do advance. Wouldn't of questioned that before Sat) will play a QF there.Fra- Italy there. There QFs in Cardiff.Twickers since last WCNZ 2-1: PD -6Ire: 0-3SA: 2-0Aus 1-2Wal: 1-1Rest 0
