Jackson eager to secure Ireland spot

Ulster fly-half Paddy Jackson targets a first World Cup start for Ireland after making his debut in the competition as a replacement in the victory over Romania.

Jackson replaced fellow Ulster player Tommy Bowe in the second half of the 44-10 Pool D win before a record crowd at Wembley.

The 23-year-old Jackson faces tough competition for the number 10 jersey, but hopes to impress in training before Sunday's game against Italy.
