Championship: London Welsh 14-8 Jersey

London Welsh got back to winning ways with a low-scoring Championship victory over Jersey at Old Deer Park.

Flanker Gary Graham crashed over from a maul to put the islanders ahead but Brendan Cope's conversion attempt bounced clear off the post.

But Welsh, who were relegated from the Premiership last season, were in front at half time after wing Josh Drauniniu latched onto his own chip to score.

Welsh centre Nic Reynolds touched down in a similar manner after the break.

Cope's penalty in the closing stages, when Darryl Marfo was penalised for a high tackle, gave Jersey the consolation of a losing bonus-point.
