Redruth away form 'impressive' says head coach Steve Larkins

Redruth won just two of their 15 away matches last season

Redruth head coach Steve Larkins has said their away form is "pretty impressive" ahead of their trip to Dorking in National Two South.

They have won two of their three away games and will beat last season's league tally with victory on Saturday.

"That kind of puts things into perspective," Larkins told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"Last year our form wasn't particularly good away from home. This year to get wins on the road is hard to come by."

The Reds are fifth in the table with four wins from six matches.

Dorking are nine points further back but did the double over Redruth last season, scoring 88 points in the process.

"If we can get a win tomorrow that'll be three away wins which will be a pretty impressive start for us," added Larkins.

"I thought last year Dorking were probably the strongest team in our league, but we're pretty keen to go out there and play exciting rugby."
