Ben Morgan: England back row signs new Gloucester contract
England number eight Ben Morgan has signed a new contract with Premiership club Gloucester.
The 27-year-old former Scarlets player, who has played in 31 internationals, has been with the Cherry and Whites since 2012.
He has made 76 appearances for Gloucester in all competitions.
"Ben expressed his desire to stay at the club, and we're thrilled that we were able to agree a new deal," director of rugby David Humphreys said.
Gloucester have now given new deals to four players since Tuesday, with scrum-half Willi Heinz, versatile back Henry Purdy and fly-half Billy Burns also agreeing extensions.
Morgan, who has started all eight of Gloucester's Premiership games so far this term, added: "I'm absolutely over the moon to sign a new deal.
"It's great to be part of this club, and it's my local club that means a lot to me.
"I grew up supporting Gloucester, and it is a special place to play. It helps to have that desire and passion for the club."
The Cherry and Whites have also signed Lyon back row Carl Fearns for next season.
