Championship: Rotherham Titans 23-16 Jersey Reds
Winger Ben Foley scored two tries in three second-half minutes to pull Rotherham from behind to beat Jersey at Clifton Lane.
The sides were level at 6-6 at the break, as Sam Katz and Will Robinson traded penalties in a scrappy first half.
Jersey centre Jordan Davies went over against his former club but Foley's two quick-fire tries changed the game.
Rotherham climb above the Reds into seventh spot in the Championship.
The match was Jersey's first since they revealed financial problems and were forced to sell their ground in order to complete the season in the second tier.
After the largely forgettable first half, the second period was partly overshadowed by a head injury to Reds back Lewis Robling, who was taken off on a stretcher after a stoppage of more than 10 minutes, adding to Jersey's injury woes this season.
When the action resumed, Robinson kicked the home side into a narrow lead before Davies got the opening try in the corner.
A Katz penalty extended the advantage for the visitors before Foley, returning to the Titans line-up after suspension, stole the show with two tries in just 160 seconds late on.
The first was superbly converted from the touchline by debutant Caolan Ryan, and Foley ran through onto his own kick to score the winner.
