I've been a Scotland fan for years now, not once have I felt this excited about our teams potential. Let the good times roll, and bring on the autumn internationals. If we beat New Zealand, then I will believe we have a chance in the Six Nations. It's way too early to start saying "future champs" etc, but we can really look forward to the next 4 international games that's for sure!
Its disappointing to see the reaction from the Aussie media on this result. It smacks of arrogance that Scots beating Australia should still be regarded as a "shock" or "upset".This isn't the same as Japan v SA in the World Cup. The last three games have been decided by less than 7 points. There is very little between the teams. Scotland were skilful and executed chances on the day, Aus couldn't.
@341 Maybe Dunbar should consider hanging around in Oz for a week or two - maybe an all expenses paid trip to NZ will crop up.
Two great wins on the tour.Just slightly concerned we might take our eye off the ball for Fiji. Russell and Dell have gone to the Lions, and Dunbar and Bradbury are going home. Toonie/Barclay need to make sure that they don't get demob happy before the job is done. However Fiji struggled to beat Italy, so we should complete the treble.Fourth in the world - equalling the rugby league team!
@336 I can see Barclay continuing as Scotland Captain for a while yet.
@329 You are not worthy of the type of response that you obviously crave. I will however say that as a Scot who lives in South Wales the congratulatory and positive remarks from the majority of your countrymen more than makes up for your bitterness which I can only presume is rooted in wishing that Wales were allowed to play the same style Rugby as the rest of us - i.e not Warrenball.
329. Posted by AlynJones13 on3 hours agoWhen did Scotland last win a 6 nations championship ? ;)___When did an Englishman last win Wimbledon? If you can't take it don't dish it out.
270, fair play to you, not many Englishmen would say Scotland forever. Hats off mate.
I cannae believe Barclay was ommitted from the original Lions squad he has been a monster all season, is as good as any 6 in Europe, is comfortable at OSF or 8 and suprisingly good captain at club/national level. A travesty in my opinion
@334 Don't respond to stupid children...you could ask to discuss it with his parents, but they would be retarded hillbilly's.
@329 AlunJones13We had arguably 16 first team players out of the 23 and 4 who hadnt played for us for quite a few years.Thats what you call a brave adventurous shoutfrom our new coach, he has taken Verns tremendous work and almost revolutionised itBy the way lets only look at 2017 we hammered you on the international stage & we have the best record against SH teams over the last decade
It was a great result yesterday But now have to back it up with a win on Saturday We need to get to the NZ test undefeated as have a real go at them Then go and stuff the Welsh in Cardiff come the 6N
A great win for Scotland - this has been coming for some time; well done.
