Wales are a step closer to the quarter-finals of snooker's World Cup following a 4-1 win over Qatar in Wuxi, China on Wednesday.

Mark Williams and Michael White made it three wins out of three with victory over the Qatari pair of Ahmed Saif and Ali Alobaidaly.

Wales are top of Group C and face Northern Ireland's pairing of Gerard Greene and Joe Swail on Thursday.

Their final group game will be against Australia on Friday.
