The pairing of John Higgins and Stephen Maguire beat home favourites Ding Junhui and Xiao Guodong 4-1 to progress and face India in the last four.

Wales' Mark Williams and Michael White also made it through by beating Thailand, and come up against China B.

The Chinese youngsters Zhou Yuelong and Yan Bingtao beat Australia's Neil Robertson and Vinnie Calabrese 4-2.
