BBC Sport - Bethany Carson still aiming for Commonwealths despite injury setback

Swimmer Carson fights back after injury

Lisburn swimmer Bethany Carson is aiming to compete at the Commonwealth Games despite an injury set back in December.

The 22-year-old broke her ankle in two places after a tumble while walking down a flight of stairs.

Carson had surgery on 30 December and with the bones having "completely healed", she is optimistic that she will be among the Northern Ireland swimmers competing in Glasgow in July.
