Bathroom break helps Edmund through

Britain's Kyle Edmund says a well-timed bathroom break at the end of the fourth set helped him to a first-round victory over French veteran Stephane Robert in the French Open at Rolland Garros.

The 20-year-old took his first Grand Slam victory after prevailing 2-6 6-4 6-3 5-7 6-2 over the 35-year-old on Court Seven.

South African-born Edmund, who says it "meant a lot" that Andy Murray came to watch his match, plays 29th seed Nick Kyrgios of Australia in the next round.
