Championship: North Wales Crusaders 6-36 Featherstone

Crusaders suffered their first home defeat in 18 months as Featherstone Rovers secured a comfortable Championship win at the Racecourse.

The home side were without several key players but they were level 6-6 at the interval thanks to Tom Gilmore's try.

But Crusaders errors and ill-discipline were punished in the second half by Rovers, who scored six tries.

Will Sharp crossed for a hat-trick of tries as Rovers inflicted Crusaders' first defeat of the season.

South Wales Scorpions' opening match of the season in Championship One against Oldham Roughyeds at Maesteg was abandoned with eight minutes remaining.

Scorpions were trailing 4-18 when the game was abandoned because of poor weather conditions.
