Slimline Davies hopes to make Worlds

Paralympic champion Aled Sion Davies says he has lost five stone in weight during his recovery from a hernia operation.

The 24-year-old Welshman won gold in the F42 discus at London 2012 and bronze in the shot put. He is also the world and European champion in both disciplines.

Davies will not be able to defend his discus title at Rio 2016 after it was cut from the schedule, so is concentrating on shot put.

The 2015 IPC World Championships take place in Doha on 21-31 October and Davies hopes to defend his titles in Qatar, but admits he is struggling to be fully fit by then.
