Head coach Mike Grady has left his role with South Wales Scorpions after two seasons in charge of the League 1 club.

Scorpions are bottom of League 1 with only one victory this season.

"Everyone at the club would like to thank Mike for his efforts and wish him all the very best in his future career," Scorpions said in a statement.

The takeover of the club is expected to be completed this week after Wales Rugby League sought new owners in August.

The sport's national governing body took control of the club, founded in 2009, after original owner and founder Phil Davies relinquished control in late 2013.
