Matty Fozard has withdrawn from Wales' European Championship squad after breaking his jaw in training.

The St Helens hooker, 20, will be out for six weeks and has been replaced by South Wales Scorpions' Connor Farrer.

Farrer, 20, played in all three of Wales' games last season, scoring on his international debut against Scotland in Workington.

"I'm delighted to have been called up, although it's sad that it had to happen in such a way," Farrer said.

"I'm gutted for Matty and I wish him all the best in his recovery."
