World Women's Curling: Scotland miss medal after defeat by Russia

Eve Muirhead

Scotland's women have missed out on a medal at the World Curling Championships in Sapporo, Japan.

The Scots lost their bronze medal match with Russia 13-4, having lost their play-off against the same opponents.

"It's just not been our week," Muirhead told the tournament website. "We haven't been consistent enough.

"The world championship is the competition you build your season round - unfortunately this year it wasn't to be."
