You can learn a lot from people's dreams. For example, you can never have too many Ethan Hawke dreams. Isn't that right, Lucie? LUCIE?

TOTP: Tell us about your dreams, Lucie?
Lucie: I do have a couple of recurring dreams that I've found other people have had. The first is the flying dream, which I find quite logical, really. Basically, I'm in a field, and if I flap my arms hard enough, I can get some inches, and actually go up in the air.

But there's only a certain amount of time I can stay up in the air. And it makes perfect sense to me in my dream. But sometimes I start to come back down and think "S***! I wasn't up for as long this time."

I told my dad this and he said he has the exact same dream, but in he's peddling in his. Which made me think that perhaps he works harder than I do. The other dream I have a lot is the teeth falling out dream, which I know a lot of people have. It's supposed to be anxiety isn't it? I also dream about my reaction to waking up and losing all my teeth, only to realise it was just a dream. I do have incredibly random dreams as well, which skip from one thing to the other.

A dreamy set of gnashers

TOTP: Do you spend much time analysing these dreams?
Lucie: Not really. I spend about five minutes wondering what that was all about and just assume that I'm worried about something.
TOTP: Would you spend much time pondering a dream where you're coughing up money in an empty swimming pool with only a drowsy bumblebee for company?
Lucie: Ha ha! Is that true? OK, let's see. A drowsy bumblebee. [Takes a deep breath] Well, OK, bumblebees are pretty harmless, as in, they exist and we don't mind them. So, maybe, the bumblebee signifies something around you that doesn't bother you, but doesn't do you any good either.

In the swimming pool, erm, maybe you're in something that you don't know how to get out of, but at the same time, the reason you're in it is because of some kind of success. And the coughing up money... um, I don't know. Interesting though.

A bumblebee. It doesn't bother you does it?

TOTP: Maybe. When was the last time you dreamt about someone famous? What happened?
Lucie: I actually dream about Ethen Hawke quite a lot. I think he's gorgeous. I have a recurring vision of him in [the film] Reality Bites and I think he looks particularly gorgeous in that. Sometimes I dream about the actor I've just seen in a film, and usually they're chasing me and I'm kind of going, "No, come on. I'm not interested. I told you." Ha ha! And then I wake up.

TOTP: Have you ever successfully turned a bad dream into a good dream? What happened?
Lucie: Only when I'm slightly awake. You know those daydream type dreams. And I decide on how good I look, and who's gonna be there, and how it'll all turn out. And then of course you fall asleep properly and dream complete random nonsense. My dreams are like movies. They're really dramatic and heroic in a way, and then I wake up to the harsh reality that I'm not a hero.
Dream on, Lucie.

TOTP: In colour or black and white?
Lucie: Always in colour. I've never dreamt in black and white, but it's always complimentary to me. I'm always looking a lot better than I do in real life. I look all airbrushed and glamorous.

TOTP: Have you ever written a song in your sleep and then woken up having forgotten it? FOREVER?
Lucie: I've thought of things, and then I think "I must wake up, and get up now and record it" and then gone back to sleep and forgotten it. You wake up and think "God I hope it wasn't any good." I've done that loads.

TOTP: Have you ever dreamt about kissing Ethan Hawke and then woken up all sad?
Lucie: No. I dream about him loads and usually wake up thinking either "that was brilliant" or "I must stop dreaming about Ethan Hawke". I probably shouldn't say that. My boyfriend wouldn't be too happy. Mind you he dreams about Rachel Stevens. Which isn't really fair - there's more chance of him bumping into her than there is of me meeting Ethan Hawke. If I do though, he better watch out.
Ethan Hawke. Phwoar!
