A passenger train crash kills dozens, tickets now available to visit the 9/11 memorial, and more. Here are the stories that travellers are buzzing about:

9/11 memorial tickets registration begins
Registration for tickets to visit the 11 September memorial opened today. The memorial is where the Twin Towers once stood and includes two acre-wide pools and 30-ft waterfalls, with the names of the nearly 3,000 people killed in the terrorist attacks etched in bronze around the perimeter. A video is available at CBS News online.

Passenger train crashes in India
The death toll has been climbing since a passenger train in northern India derailed on Sunday afternoon. The cause is unknown, though newspapers are reporting the train driver supposedly engaged the train’s emergency brakes to avoid squatting cattle, the Associate Press reports.

Quotable
“As I sit at a traffic light, straddling my motorbike, I suddenly feel a hand run up and down my thigh. The man next to me has actually gotten off his motorbike at an intersection to rub me down like Kobe beef. ‘You are going to have a flat tire!’ he preaches emphatically. ‘You are too fat!’”

- Adam Bray contributed an essay to CNN Go about his experiences as a hefty foreigner with no chance of blending in with the locals.
