A revolution in Scottish camping
Best for getting away from it all: Badrallach
The Stotts, the family behind this campsite, proclaims their paradise “a truly timeless place” -- and it feels it. This 12-pitch site is a long way from anywhere, and the last stretch of the epic journey to Wester Ross in the Highlands leaves main roads behind for a sinewy track that tests both cars and drivers. The epic sea loch and mountain views make the effort well worth it, though. There is a whole lot of nothing here, which you can appreciate as the last embers of your campfire flicker out and you are left with that rare thing these days -- total darkness.
