Met Office Warnings Issued For: Highland

  1. Amber warning of rain

    From:
    1800 on Fri 6 March
    To:
    0600 on Sun 8 March
Updated 6 March at 11:54 Active

    Warning

Rain will be persistent and heavy at times during the rest of Friday and Saturday, lasting into Sunday morning. Whilst the wettest conditions will be over the west Highlands, the rain will feed rivers draining into and out of Loch Ness, bringing a risk of property and road flooding in the area. The public should be prepared for this risk, along with that of travel disruption, especially on Saturday and into Sunday morning.

  2. Yellow warning of rain

    From:
    1800 on Fri 6 March
    To:
    0600 on Sun 8 March
Updated 6 March at 11:10 Active

    Warning

Rain will be persistent and heavy at times during the rest of Friday and Saturday, lasting into Sunday morning. The public should be aware of the risk of localised flooding with a higher risk within the amber area due to high river levels and additional snow melt. Some travel disruption is likely, especially on Saturday and into Sunday morning.
