    A band of heavy rain will affect parts of the southern half of Scotland, the southeast corner of Northern Ireland, and later parts of northern England, north and west Wales, before clearing away to the southeast during Saturday morning. The exact location of the heaviest rain remains somewhat uncertain, with subsequent revisions to the area quite likely.

    The public should be aware of the potential for some localised impacts to travel due to surface water flooding.
