    Updated 24 November at 11:48

Patchy fog is expected to form soon after dark on Monday across many parts of southern and central England, East Anglia and east Wales. The fog is expected to become quite widespread and locally dense and freezing during the evening with visibility reducing to less than 100 metres in places. The fog is likely to persist into Tuesday morning's rush hour across a swathe from east Wales across the Midlands into parts of East Anglia. However, it may well begin to disperse across southern England by this time, as cloud starts to increase from the south.

The public should be aware that disruption to transport is possible. In view of the uncertainty surrounding amounts of fog southern England by morning, this warning may be updated.
