    Warning

    Rain, heavy at times will continue to affect much of central and southwestern Scotland today. Some low-level river flooding impacts are expected, especially in Dumfries and Galloway, while excess surface water will lead to localised flooding in prone areas. Clearer, drier conditions will gradually extend from the northwest reaching most areas by around midnight.

    Please be aware of the likelihood of some travel disruption and difficult driving conditions.This is an update to the warning issued on Friday, removing the northwest of Scotland where the worst of the rain has now passed, while extending it further east towards the western Borders and the southern Grampians.
