Where can I find Weather on the BBC? | |||||

BBC Weather's television, radio and interactive forecasts can be found across a wide range of channels and new media services.

From the flagship BBC One bulletins, to checking the weather on the move via your mobile phone device, find out where you can get your weather forecasts. Television There are national weather bulletins in or after the One, Six and Ten o'clock news programmes every day of the year, usually on BBC1, occasionally moved to BBC2 if there are big events which mean schedules get moved around. You can also find national weather in the Breakfast programme between 6am and 9am, and short updates are broadcast along with News updates at various times during the day. At the very end of the evening you can find our Weatherview bulletin on BBC1, and also on News 24 at 2357, which picks up on the key weather stories of the day, and on Thursdays, focuses on Holiday Weather during the summer and Skiing Weather during the winter. We also provide weather bulletins for BBC4 as part of their 7pm news programme. On News 24 there are weather updates every half an hour. On BBC World there are updates every hour during the 24 hour period. You can find these schedules in the Radio Times or in the BBC's What's On services. Radio We also provide weather bulletins for Radio 4, Radio 2 and Radio 5 Live. Radio 4 broadcasts the Shipping Forecast and Inshore Waters forecasts as well as Gale and Storm warnings when they arise. There is a limited text service on Digital Radio if you have one of the new sets.Digital and Analogue Text Services We have weather content in the text services on Digital Cable (NTL and Telewest), Satellite (Sky and Freeview) and Digital Terrestrial (Freeview). These are accessible from any BBC channel - simply press the red button or the text button. You can also find a full weather service on Ceefax for Analogue viewers - the index is on page 400.Web, Broadband and Narrowband services Here you can find our main weather website and BBC Weathers website on climate change. There is a broadband console where you can watch high quality video bulletins for the world and the UK, this is available via a number of broadband distributors. You an also see a narrowband version from the link on our website banner. On The Move You can access BBC Weather content via your mobile phone device and keep up with the news, sport and weather on our big screens located in city centres across the UK.
