After studying Meteorology at the Met Office College in Berkshire, Diane became BBC North West's first on-screen weather presenter in 1995. Previously, she was a familiar voice to Radio 1 listeners, getting her first radio job as an afternoon girl on the hugely popular Steve Wright Show. As listeners warmed to Diane's easy-going style, she was asked to bring a cheery start to the day for the nine million listeners of Simon Mayo's Breakfast Show, where she won a Silver Sony Award. Dianne met her cameraman husband while co-presenting children's TV show 'The 8.15' from Manchester and moved to the North West in 1993. The couple live in Cheshire with their horse, two golden retrievers and two cats. |
