Last Five Days
04/10/2008 | |||
Scotland, the far north of England and Northern Ireland had a dry and cold night with clear skies. This allowed a widespread frost (incl. icy surfaces) across central/southern Scotland and far north of England. The daytime here was then dry and sunny in most parts, although a few showers cropped up in the north of Scotland. Heavy rain spread southeastwards across Wales and much of England overnight and during the morning to be positioned over southeast England and East Anglia by the afternoon. Sunny weather spread south and eastwards to the rear of the rain to give most parts a fine end to the day, with the last dregs of the rain leaving Kent during the evening. Rainfall totals widely 20-25 mm, with 35 mm at Marham up to 1800 and 89 mm at Capil Curig in 24 hours to 0900. Max temp 19C Exeter in brighter weather immediately following rain early afternoon. Highest Day: Hurn 18.3C (Dorset) Lowest Day: Lake Vyrnwy 9.8C (Powys) Lowest Night: Tyndrum -3.1C (Perthshire) Highest Rainfall: Monks Wood 39.6mm (Cambridgeshire) Highest Sunshine: Edinburgh 9.6hrs | ||||
