Classifying Snow
Snowflakes have always fascinated people. The first person to describe their hexagonal structure was Swedish archbishop Olaus Magnus, in 1555.

The American farmer and meteorologist Wilson W. Bentley (1865-1931) took more than 5,000 photomicrographs of snowflakes. In 1931 over 2,000 were published in his book, Snow Crystals.

Classifying Snowflakes Yourself
