A letter code used by aircraft in requests for information and used in the supply of information to aircraft. Items in the code relate to meteorological information, for example, QFE relates to station-level pressure.
Quasi-Stationary Front:
A front whose position is (almost) unchanged on successive pressure charts. There is a strong tendency in such cases for wave-like disturbances of the front to form.
