مطعم وجبات سريعة يثير غضب سياسيين فرنسيين

Hello and welcome to BBC Xtra English!

Some politicians in France are angry after a fast food chain changed its menu in eight of its restaurants.

Quick restaurants are one of the most popular fast food outlets in France.

Last year they decided to change their menu in eight of their restaurants, in areas where a lot of Muslims live.

They decided to remove pork from the menu and only serve halal food.

Quick says that the changes are part of an experiment and they may bring back the old menu.

Several political figures in France are not happy with the changes.

Some MPs from the right-wing UMP party say the changes are scandalous and give no choice to non muslim clients.

They say that they are worried that the changes to the menu deliberately separate Muslims from everyone else in France.

Some Opposition socialist MPs do not mind having halal meat on the menu but do say that only having the Islamic choice goes too far.

There are five million Muslims in France who make up the largest Islamic community in Europe.

Recently many Muslims claim they have been stigmatized after a debate about the place of Muslims in France and whether to ban the full Islamic veil.

Do you think specialist restaurants divide communities or offer more choices to all? Maybe you have an idea on this that would help build peace and understanding?

I think that press and media are helping disagreement between cultures in general and religions especially by focussing on these shallow issues.

I think its a nice eider to have especial (halal restorants) and its an experiment to know if the Wests are redye to adopt the globalization inside them chantry, which they complain to general it, is not a serious reaction, but they need to live with other customs and traditions. niasse.
