Tim Peake describes the different conditions astronauts experience in space, such as no air to breathe and the extreme cold. These conditions allow astronauts to observe objects like comets, which only exist in such extreme conditions. Fran Scott recreates a comet in her kitchen using a variety of components including water, ammonia, a rocky core, a range of organic molecules and dry ice. The whole process of construction is explained and shown clearly, resulting in a homemade comet.
