The story of twins who were separated at birth. Detail is given of the many similarities in their lives. The difference between nature and nurture is briefly mentioned. The report then explains what clones are and how these occur naturally.
As well as identical twins, the asexual reproduction of aphids and strawberries are used as examples. The cloning of Dolly the sheep is also discussed.
The clip can be used as a summary of the three types of cloning seen: twins, asexual reproduction and artificial cloning. After watching the clip, students could write and draw representations of the differences in the three cloning types shown. They could also discuss why twin studies are so popular in gene research.
