A group of Spanish school children sing a version of 'Old MacDonald Had a Farm' in Spanish. Using animal images to illustrate, they teach the Spanish for a dog, a horse, a hen and a lamb, as well as the noises the animals make in Spanish.
After watching the song a couple of times, pupils could be given flashcards with the animals and the sounds they make. They could then match the animal to the sound. Pupils could then be encouraged to write out the song and illustrate it. Pupils can use the clip to introduce animal words, to compare songs in different languages and as the starting point for some simple storytelling.
