This clip would serve as a good introduction to the Newport Medieval Ship prior to a visit. Pupils could discuss everyday life in medieval Wales, including sailors' lives. In groups, the class could list items of import and export to and from Wales, and consider why the ship is considered so important regarding trade in the medieval period.
