Examining the importance of the Bible and baptism for Christians. Matthew, a Christian, describes how the Bible is very important to his family and other people of his faith. We also find out about how churches may look different, but the celebrations inside are the same, including weddings and baptisms. Baptismal promises are compared to the promises made by Matthew when he joined the Cub Scouts.

This clip could be used to explore the different denominations of Christianity. The children could research Baptist, Catholic and Church of England Christians using the internet and books. They could complete a table that compares the different churches. The different sections of the table could include the name of the leader - father, vicar, minister and questions like: When are members baptised? When was the church formed? Who is the leader of the church?
