A lively and amusing song which practises days of the week. It has a chorus is easy to pick up and sing along to. Each verse has an amusing take on the days of the week - On vendredi I’d build myself/A life-size Eiffel Tower/When samedi comes I’ll be eating buns/And croissants in my shower. The song provides a good opportunity to introduce or revise days of the week in a lively and amusing way.

In groups pupils could practise and perform the chorus using the written words for the days of the week on card and holding them up when they sing about that day of the week. The origin of the days of the week could be discussed and how they are nearly all linked to the planets. Supporting the use of classroom language on a daily basis the day of the week could be written in French as well as English on the board.
