Pupils could investigate their playground for evidence of carnivores, herbivores and omnivores. Can they find examples of each type of animal? The children could sketch or take digital photographs of the creatures they identify. For instance they might find herbivores such as snails, carnivores such as spiders, or omnivores such as magpies or gulls.
