Could be used to start a discussion about things that smell good to us and things that do not. You could list pupils’ responses and ask them why they think it can be important to know when food smells bad. Establish that food that is no longer fresh often smells bad to us. Our noses can warn us when something is not good to eat. The children could draw pictures of things that smell good to us and things that do not.
